Pudong in southern Guangdong province is planning a shopping center.
The mall, named Slime City, will open in 2019 and will offer about 500,000 square feet of retail space and a mall-like shopping experience, according to a plan released by the provincial government in July.
It will be called Slime Village Mall.
This is the first major shopping center in the southern Chinese province to open in 20 years.
Slime Village has a number of attractions and will include restaurants, a casino and other attractions, the provincial planning office said.
Its design will be similar to other malls in Guangdongs southern cities of Wuhan and Shenzhen, the official Xinhua news agency reported.
Slime City will have a combined height of 663 feet, it added.
Residents will be able to buy and use the mall in a two-storey building with about 800 apartments, a hotel, restaurants and shops, it said.
It will also include a food court, a children’s play area, a museum and a cafe.
At the mall, people can also walk to shops to take advantage of the wide selection of merchandise, it was reported.
There will also be a hotel with two floors of suites for up to 8,000 yuan ($1,000), it added, citing the provincial planner.
Slimes Village Mall will be built in Zhongyuan, a municipality of about 3 million people in Guangzhou.
